1.003 to 1.004 Upgrade (1.8 MB)

This patch will allow owners of the original release of NOLF to join servers hosted with the "Game of the Year" edition. If you have not done so already, then you must download and install Update #3 to upgrade your copy of NOLF to version 1.003 before using this patch.

Installation:
When the file has finished downloading, click on the archive and extract the executable to a directory of your choice. Once the extraction is complete, run the executable and follow on-screen instructions.

GOTY Multiplayer Maps (52 MB)

This download contains all of the new multiplayer maps contained in the GOTY edition of NOLF. It does not include the new singleplayer mission. You must download and install the 1.004 patch before you can join GOTY servers that are running these maps!

GOTY Maps Installation:

  1. Make sure you have the latest update (v1.004) of No One Lives Forever
  2. Double click the self-extracting exe. (Foxrez.exe) and it will place the rez file in the c:\NOLFGOTYMAPS
  3. Create a new folder (directory) in C:\Program Files\Fox\No One Lives Forever (or wherever the NOLF root directory is located) and make sure you name the folder "Custom" (without the quotes)
  4. Now copy the fox.rez file that's in c:\NOLFGOTYMAPS and paste it to the "Custom" folder that you've just created.
  5. Initialize the NOLF Launcher and click on the "Advanced..." button.
  6. From the Advanced Options menu click on the "Customize" button.
  7. Once your in the Advanced Options Customize menu you should see the Fox.rez file appear on the left side of the column.
  8. Point and click on Fox.rez then click on the Add button. This will shift the Fox.rez file to the right hand side of the column.
  9. You may want to check the "Always load these rez files" check box so you don't repeat the steps listed here everytime you exit the program and relaunch the game.
  10. Click and select OK within all the Advanced Options menu's and launch the game.

NOLF Source Code v1.003 (5.46 MB)

This package contains the source code for NOLF version 1.003. For more information, please check out the readme.txt file that’s included in this archive.

Requirements:
To edit and build the source code, you’ll need Microsoft’s Visual C++ version 6.0 with service pack 3 installed, Microsoft’s DirectX 8 SDK installed, and 400 MB of available disk space. To run your modifications, you’ll need to have NOLF version 1.003 installed.

Installation:
When the file has finished downloading, click on the archive and extract the files to a directory of your choosing. The default path is c:\NOLFSource. Once the extraction is complete, you can open the NOLF Visual C++ workspace by double clicking on the file c:\NOLFSource\NOLF\NOLF.dsw.

UPDATE #3 - International and North American version (13.0 MB)

This release will update all previous FULL versions of NOLF to version 1.003. It will NOT update any of the demo versions. This update addresses multiplayer exploits found in earlier versions of the game as well as various minor issues.

*PLEASE NOTE* Save games from version 1.0 will NOT work after this update is installed. However, it will be possible to restart the last mission completed. Saved games from version 1.001 and 1.002 should load without problems.

No One Lives Forever Mega Mix Demo - Version 1.002 (129 MB)

The Mega Mix demo includes 4 singleplayer levels plus 2 multiplayer maps. It was created utilizing the upgraded singleplayer and multiplayer code and is designed to give players a sense of the variety within the game. Click here to see the game's Minimum System Requirements.

MAP PACK #2 - International and North American version (8.38 MB)

This content update adds three deathmatch maps and five UNITY vs. H.A.R.M. assault maps. In order to insure the new maps play as intended, you will need to first download the base Update version 1.002.

To install Map Pack 2, click on the archive and extract the files to a temporary directory of your choosing. The default path is c:\NOLFMapPack. Once the extraction is complete, explore to the directory and click on setup.exe. Finish the installation wizard to complete the update.

NO ONE LIVES FOREVER EDITING TOOLS v1.0 (5.82MB)

Please note: These tools are provided "as-is" and not officially supported by Monolith Productions, LithTech Inc., or Fox Interactive.

This package contains editing tools that will help you to create your own levels, models, and add-ons for NOLF. For a full list and description of the tools included, please refer to the readme file. Please note that this package does NOT include the NOLF source code.

Requirements:

Before installing the tools, you must first install the retail version of No One Lives Forever and you must choose the FULL (900MB) installation option. You must then download and install the upgrade to version 1.001. You must also have approximately 925MB free in order to unpack the NOLF .rez files and install the tools themselves.

Installation:

To install the tools after downloading, click on the archive and extract the files to a temporary directory of your choosing. The default path is c:\NOLFTools. Once the extraction is complete, open the folder that you extracted the files to, and then double-click on the setup.exe icon. Once the installer starts, just follow the on-screen instructions. International customers should be aware that all tools, the installer and all documentation are provided in English only. Please note that if you choose not to unpack the NOLF resources during installation, you will need to run the unrez.bat file in your Nolf Tools installation folder.

This content add-on contains three new multiplayer maps. In order to insure the new maps play as intended, you will first need to download and install Update #2 (either the original North American only version or the new International version will work) which will upgrade NOLF to version 1.001. The Full version of the Technology Demo will take you through four levels of intense assignments, including a training mission and three single-player missions. In order to keep the size of the demo as low as possible, we are not able to include the full variety of voices, music and sounds which will be included in the full game.

No One Lives Forever Technology Demo - SMALL VERSION (45MB)
The No One Lives Forever Technology Demo (small version) includes one sample level from the full version of the game. The small version of the demo does not include any music from the game nor does it include the full variety of voices and sounds.

Installation is straightforward and detailed instructions are included with the demo. See the System Requirements to make sure you can run NOLF on your system.
